Privacy Policy

Rustic Bling (“Rustic Bling,” “we,” “us”) is a home and holiday decorating business serving the Twin Cities metro area of Minnesota, owned and operated by Katie Bumpus. This policy explains what information we collect through rusticbling.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out our consultation form, we collect:

  • Your name, phone number, email address and city
  • How you'd like to be contacted
  • The services, rooms and styles you're interested in
  • Your preferred install and take-down dates
  • Your rough budget and shopping preference
  • How you heard about us
  • Anything you tell us in the message field

We also keep what you share with us by phone, text or email, and any photos of your space you send us so we can plan your project.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours automatically receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit. This comes from our web host's server logs and from Google Analytics (see below).

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation
  • To plan, price, shop for, install and take down your decor
  • To send you estimates, contracts and invoices
  • To follow up about your project or future seasonal bookings (you can ask us to stop at any time)
  • To keep our website secure, working properly and free of spam

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business and the website, and only as much as they need:

  • Hostinger: hosts our website and its server logs
  • Google reCAPTCHA: protects our contact form from spam. It collects information about your device and how you use the page. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
  • Email and phone providers: we use them to reply to you
  • Google Analytics: shows us how visitors find and use our site, such as which pages they view and roughly where they're located. Google processes this data under its Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Google Fonts: delivers the typefaces on our site, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety.

Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies. Some are needed for the site to work, such as reCAPTCHA's security cookies and WordPress's own functional cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) that help us understand which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features, such as the contact form, may not work without them.

Social media

Our site links to our Facebook and Instagram pages. When you click those links or interact with us there, the platform's own privacy policy applies.

Photos of your home

We may photograph the decor we install. We will not publish photos of your home on our website or social media without your permission, and we never share your address or other identifying details.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and client information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete it or keep it only in a form that doesn't identify you. If you contacted us but never booked, you can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct it
  • Delete it
  • Stop contacting you

Depending on where you live, including under Minnesota law, you may have additional rights over your personal data. To make a request, email katie@rusticbling.com or call or text 651-605-1335. We'll respond within 45 days.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our website. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information, such as payment card numbers, through the contact form.

Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
